In the spirit of World Cancer Day,
join our mission to help cancer patients across Ottawa.
You can actively improve cancer outcomes,
one life at a time.

The Ottawa region is home to some of the world’s leading cancer researchers. When you invest in local research, you allow our loved ones quicker access to more advanced, personalized treatments.

Cancer remains a leading cause of death in Canada. But survival rates are improving. Right now, the 5-year survival rate for all cancers is 64%, up from 25% in 1940. With your help, we believe that a 100% survival rate is achievable
in our lifetime.

Clinical trials and research offer patients the latest treatment options and enable medical staff to improve patient care and outcomes. Here are some clinical trials and research studies your donations will support in 2022:

BIOTHERAPEUTICS RESEARCH

Biotherapeutics mobilize and activate the body’s immune system to attack cancer cells. By harnessing biological materials like cells, genes and viruses, we can target cancer cells without harming normal cells.

TARGETED THERAPY CLINICAL TRIALS

A new clinical trial is evaluating a targeted combination therapy for patients with lung cancer. If approved, this new treatment could help thousands of patients across Canada.

PRE-SURGERY INJECTION TRIAL

A new clinical trial for early-stage breast cancer aims to slow cancer growth and activate the immune system before surgery.

Last year, because of your generous support we recruited 1,347 patients into 108 clinical trials and treated 686 patients in post-trial follow-ups. With your donation, imagine how much more we can do in 2022!

Give for Love. Give for Life.
