Cancer Foundation President & CEO Retiring After 15 Years of Service
With much gratitude for her fifteen years of service, the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation’s Board of Directors today announces Linda Eagen’s retirement as President and CEO of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
Since 2004, Linda has been a champion for cancer care and research in Eastern Ontario. Under her leadership, the Cancer Foundation advanced regional cancer priorities, investing in life-saving research and clinical trials, supporting hospital expansions and the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment, and opening the doors to Canada’s first Cancer Survivorship Centre. As the founder of Cancer Coaching, Linda’s contribution to helping people live better lives with cancer is immeasurable.
“These past fifteen years have been life changing for those affected by cancer in Eastern Ontario – and personally, they have been life changing for me as well. During my time with the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, I have encountered some truly inspiring people and have been proud to work alongside them in our shared fight against cancer. While officially I am retiring, our work is not done. At the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, we made it our mission to increase cancer survivorship and improve health outcomes for those affected by cancer.”

As a result of Linda’s retirement, we have engaged community leader and experienced executive Peter Andrews as Interim President and CEO. Over the next few months, the Board of Directors will undertake a formal process to recruit a permanent President and CEO for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
We are incredibly grateful for Linda’s inspiring leadership and the impact she has made on transforming cancer care in our community. We wish her all the best in her retirement and future endeavors.
Sincerely,
Carl Marcotte
Chair, Board of Directors
