Lemonade is a great drink to have on a hot summer day and for the past four years, has been sold to raise money for local cancer care.

It all started in 2013 with kids in Ottawa who wanted to make a difference. Choosing a day early June each year to host stands all around town, selling lemonade, and painting the town yellow!

Working as individuals or in teams, kids register online for the event, set up their online fundraising page, get the word out to friends and families, and choose their lemonade stand location. They can start raising funds right away and even host multiple stands leading up to event day. Kids learn about philanthropy, marketing and promotion, business development and cooperation.

The event has raised over $280,000 in the last four years for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. These funds support innovative cancer research, clinical trials, and cancer coaching to families who are facing cancer in the Ottawa.

Sponsors have been a key part of growing the event and their support ensures that 100% of the funds raised at the Lemonade Stands goes towards helping families in our community.

THREE CHEERS to our title sponsor – Cardel Homes and our Presenting Sponsor – Palladium Insurance – for their incredible support!

This year, On Saturday, June 3rd – National Cancer Survivors Weekend – thousands of families in our community (and right across the country) will be participating in the BIGGEST lemonade stand fundraiser in Canada.
