Serves: 8
Ingredients
- 4 bananas
- 8 wooden popsicle sticks
- 1 ½ cups Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup natural peanut butter, melted
- ¼ cup dark chocolate, melted
- Nuts and seeds of choice, crushed
Directions
Step 1: Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Peel each banana and cut in half crosswise and insert a popsicle stick in the bottom of each banana half. Place bananas on the baking sheet and cover with plastic wrap. Place bananas in freezer for about 30 minutes.
Step 2: Dip each frozen banana in Greek yogurt. Tip: For easy dipping, pour the yogurt into a tall glass. Right after dipping the bananas in yogurt, add your toppings of choice. We used melted peanut butter and dark chocolate and topped them off with crushed pumpkin seeds, walnuts and pecans. Yum!
Step 3: Place dipped and decorated bananas back into the freezer for about an hour before enjoying. Cover the leftovers with plastic wrap or in an air-tight container and store in freezer for up to 2 weeks. Although, they were too delicious to last that long in our house!
We give this recipe a big THUMBS UP!
