Legacy Giving

Every legacy begins with a personal story.

Leave a lasting legacy of hope for people affected by cancer in our community. By including The Ottawa Cancer Foundation in your will, naming us as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, or retirement savings plan, you can provide life-changing support for local patients, families, and caregivers for generations to come.

Bequests

Including us in your will provides essential long-term funding, ensuring sustainability and growth for our programs, and before allowing us to plan for the future with confidence.

Whether it’s a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or residual assets, your generosity will create a lasting legacy for people in our community.

Life Insurance

Donating a life insurance policy can be a powerful way to support The Ottawa Cancer Foundation. You can name us as a beneficiary of your policy or transfer ownership of an existing policy. The premiums you pay may be eligible for charitable tax receipts. Your gift can provide meaningful future support while also offering potential benefits for your estate.

RRSPs, RRIFs, and Pensions

Designate us as a beneficiary of your Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Registered Retirement Income Fund (RRIF), or pension plan. By doing so, you can ensure that your funds continue to make a difference after your lifetime while potentially minimizing taxes for your estate.
