Dare to be different, and host a creative fundraising event that’s as unique as you are!
By the time she was 16 years old, Brianna Sanko had already donated her hair more times than she could count.
For her most recent cut, she decided to do something big: she and her friends set a goal of raising $10,000 for The Ottawa Cancer Foundation during their grade 10 school year through barbeques, bracelet sales, and more. On May 1, 2016, they had one final fundraising party at Hair Tech Coiffure in Orleans where Brianna donated more than ten inches of hair to go towards creating gorgeous wigs for children facing cancer.
The final result? Brianna surpassed her goal and raised more than $11,000 for local cancer care!
That’s why we believe your ways of fundraising should be as unique as you are. You could have a fundraising party where your guests can pay a few dollars to cut someone’s hair, or do something creative in your workplace like pay-per-shot basketball hoop contest. The possibilities are endless!
