John Curry, Ottawa Community News: The power of lemonade was on display in Richmond last Saturday.
A lemonade booth that was part of the city-wide Cardel Homes Great Canadian Lemonade Standemonium presented by Palladium Insurance was set up on Perth Street for the day, right in front of Christopher’s Meat Market. Even the meat market’s sign proclaimed the lemonade stand’s presence, carrying the message “Lemonade for Cancer.”
At this lemonade stand, youngsters provided lemonade in return for a donation to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. This particular lemonade stand was part of a wider initiative by youthful supporters of Colin’s Army which set up a dozen of these fundraising lemonade stands, not only in Richmond but also in Barrhaven.
