Alison Sandor, CFRA News: There are new and alarming figures out today from the Canadian Cancer Society.
New cases will climb 40 per cent higher by the year 2030.
According to the society the spike is mainly because of the country’s growing and aging population.
“We need to continue the work that we’re doing in research and clinical trials to make sure that therapies are advancing and at the Cancer Foundation we’ve been funding those programs for 20 years,” Linda Eagen, the president and CEO of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation told CTV Ottawa.
